Would you like to volunteer at BunkFest in 2025? registration opens at Easter.

We are once again on the lookout for volunteers to help us in running the festival.

BunkFest wouldn’t be the vibrant celebration it is without the dedication of all our volunteers. From bar staff and litter pickers to bucket collectors, those who ensure the safety and happiness of our BunkFesters, and the many others working behind the scenes – they truly are the beating heart of the festival. Their hard work and commitment make everything come together, and we couldn’t do it without them!

We are seeking volunteers to assist with setting up and taking down the festival during the week before and after the event. There will be various roles available, including fence erection, laying trackway, supporting the tech crew, and clearing the site once the festival concludes.

If you’re interested, please tick the appropriate boxes on the volunteer registration form, and we will provide you with more information. Dates for the build will be from the 23/08/25 to the 29/08/25 and dates for the take down will 01/09/25 to the 05/09/25.

Every job is vital and we need you!

You will see below more information on the main areas that we need volunteers for:

• Bucket Collecting: Taking a collection bucket around the festival (you will be asked to cover certain areas). Donations from bucket collections are essential to stage the festival and keep the festival free. (18 & above)
• Bar Staff: You will be serving drinks to the public from 12 noon onwards, taking payment for alcohol, you can find out more here. (18 & above)
• Bar Manager: You will be supervising the bar staff, dealing with public and bar staff queries and ensuring that the bar is running smoothly. Ideally have some bar management experience. (18 & above)
• Beer Technician: You will be responsible for the tapping of the beer and general support to the staff who are serving the public. (please be aware that this role involves manual handling/lifting of heavy barrels, full training will be given) (18 & above)
• Glass and Wine Sellers: From 12 noon onwards you will be selling the beer and wine glasses separately to the bar and require a number of people to manage the stall, this is quieter and less demanding than the bar. (15 & above)
• Stewarding: The eyes and ears of the festival, a role that includes providing information to the public, helping with lost children and escorting vehicles on site. (18 & above) (more info here)
• BunkFest Waster: One of the most important jobs at the festival, keeping the site clean and ensuring the bins are empty. (18 & above)
• Litter Picking: Supporting the waster’s with litter picking and rubbish control. (15 & above with parent or guardian)
• Car Parking: You will be working as a team to help park cars on Saturday and Sunday morning. (18 & above)
• Help with the build: Supporting the tech and core team managers with fence erection, laying of trackway,
• Help with the take down: Supporting the tech and core team managers with clearing the bar and beer racking and
