Dance Artists
At BunkFest this year we’ve got fabulous performances from every kind of morris, from champion Cotswold to brilliant Border and magnificent Northwest, loads of amazing Step Clog dancing, Irish Dance, Belly Dance, Mummers plays, and fab modern performances from our local dance school! It’s going to be such a vibrant weekend of fun and energy as always! Come and spot your favourites!
Dance displays will take place on the Bullcroft Dance Stage and the High Street Dance Stage as well as in the Market Place, at The Boat House, C&W Railway and The Dolphin – all dance events are free to watch but please give generously to our bucket collectors!

Fool’s Gambit Morris (All Weekend and Ceilidh Spot Saturday)
Fool’s Gambit Morris is a young(ish), energetic mixed Cotswold morris team. Wearing white trousers and black shirts with red sashes you can’t miss them. They are recognised for their new take on traditional dances along with exciting twists in their own original dances. They’ve been spotted up and down the country dancing at festivals, events and local pubs entertaining crowds for over ten years now, so why not come along to one of performances and say hello!
The O’Gara School of Irish Dance (Bullcroft, Saturday and Sunday)
Viv O’Gara’s fabulously talented Irish dancers of all ages always draw a huge crowd at BunkFest, performing everything from beautiful lyrical soft shoe dances to fast and intricate hard shoe dances, they are sure to delight!
Old Speckled Hen (Saturday and Ceilidh Spot Friday)
‘Thunderous’ Hens are a North West team who practice in nearby Chilton – dancing in smart red, green and yellow kit, with an amazing all star band, they are taking the world by storm with fabulous festival performances this year. We’re super proud to have our brilliant local team performing at a BunkFest ceilidh!
Strictly Clog (All Weekend and Ceilidh Spot Saturday)
Strictly Clog were formed in 2010 by well established clog dance friends who wanted to take clog dancing back to basics with minimum choreography and more emphasis on the partnership with the music. They have since performed at Beverley, Chippenham, Bromyard, Tredegar House, Whitby, and Warwick folk festivals as well as Skipton Clog Fest and other local events.
