What time does Bunkfest start?

What is the post code for the campsite?
BunkFest camping is located at the Wallingford Sports Park, Hithercroft Road, Wallingford, OX10 9RB.

What is the complaints procedure should I need to make a complaint?
The campsite is managed by and is entirely the responsibility of the Sports Trust (the Organiser) and any complaint, claim or issue relating to the campsite must be made directly to the Organiser and not to BunkFest.

Will I be guaranteed a volunteer tshirt?
To guarantee a volunteer tshirt, registrations must in before July 31st 2024

Where is the taxi rank at BunkFest?
The official BunkFest taxi sponsor is 001 Taxis, they are located on the Kinecroft at the top end by the main gate. TEL 01235 355 600

Where is the taxi rank in Wallingford when the town is closed?

Are there public car parks in Wallingford?
Yes, however, they will be full and busy from Friday to Sunday, please use the BunkFest Park and Ride service. The Parkopedia website can help locate public car parks in Wallingford and tell you more about their prices and features.

Do you have disabled parking?
There is limited disabled parking located on The Kinecroft. Please use postcode OX10 0DB for Satnavs. The Public Car Parks also have some disabled spaces. The Parkopedia website can help locate public car parks in Wallingford and tell you more about their prices and features.

Can I park in the residential areas in Wallingford?
Please, please, please avoid using the residential areas of Wallingford for parking as this causes complaints to the event organisers and unhappy residents. Parking wardens WILL be on duty!

When will the BunkFest Bus Park and Ride be running?
From Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. There will be no bus service on Friday.

Do I have to pay for the BunkFest Bus Park and Ride service?
We have had huge increases in costs. So, we are asking for a suggested donation of £1.00 per person for this service.

Do you have a Park and Ride service?
Yes, from 10am to 10pm Saturday and Sunday, Please follow the BunkFest yellow signs around the bypass to the Hithercroft Industrial Estate area, the postcode is OX10 9RB. Please follow the hand signals from the parking stewards who will park you and direct you to the bus.

Can I drive and park at BunkFest?
Please use public transport and car share, if possible. If driving, there are signs around the Wallingford bypass directing cars to the Hithercroft Industrial Estate area for the Park and Ride service – please follow the yellow signs and the hand signals from the volunteer parking stewards on arrival.

Where can I get the bus from when the town is closed?
The town centre is open all weekend, all bus stops will be in the town centre as normal. More information can be found on the Thames Travel website.

Do you have cash points in Wallingford?
Yes, but they are limited. There is one at the Esso garage, one outside the back entrance of Waitrose and one at Nationwide Building Society. All traders and the beer tent will be accepting card transactions.

Where is the Tourist Information Centre?
The Tourist Information Centre is located on the ground floor of the Town Hall in the Market Place. Telephone 01491 826972. Opening times: Mondays-Fridays 10:00 am-1:00 pm and 1:30 pm-4:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am-2:00 pm.

How do I apply to be an artist?
The process is to email us with your details and we will be in touch if we have the availability. However, we receive many emails and are unable to formally respond to them all. Information about applying to become a Fringe Artist can be found here.

How do I apply to be a trader at BunkFest?
Please feel free to email us with your information, however, we do not have space for new traders and our existing traders are invited back each year.

Can I bring my dog to BunkFest?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the Kinecroft. BunkFest is a busy and noisy event so if your dog is of a nervous disposition, we would advise leaving him/her at home with a bone. Please note that the campsite and Sports Park only allow Assistance Dogs.

Where is lost property and what happens to it after the weekend?
Please hand in any lost items to the Festival Shop. This does not include bewildered Morris people or individuals carrying bodhrans! Any lost property remaining after the festival will be taken to the Wallingford Town Information Centre, and if unclaimed will be disposed of.

Where are the toilets located?
Toilets (including disabled) are located at both the northern and southern ends of the Kinecroft. There are also toilets in the Cattle Market car park and in the town centre.

Do you have any baby changing facilities?
Baby changing facilities are located by the Kinecroft site office, please ask a steward where this is.

Where is First Aid?
First Aid is provided during the daytime and evening. The First Aid Post is located by the Kinecroft site office. If you have a problem and cannot get there, please notify a BunkFest Steward who will direct you.

Do you have water stations?
Yes! The water is free and there are three water stations on the Kinecroft, one located by the beer tent and one at each end of the Kinecroft. Please bring a bottle.

Where do I find out about the artists and schedules?
Full artists’ schedules and information can be found in the Festival Programme, available to buy in the Festival Shop. Our Artists and Venues pages also have some information.

When is the Festival Shop open?
The Festival Shop will be open on Thursday afternoon and throughout the festival from 10:00 am.

Where is the Festival Shop?
The Festival Shop is located on the western side of the Kinecroft (opposite the Coach and Horses) and is the place to go for t-shirts, festival programmes, beer glasses, soft drinks, water and lost property.

Can I camp at BunkFest?
Yes, space is limited so book early if possible. Please see our section on camping.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
Technically yes, however, we rely on you to purchase drinks and food to help make the festival financially viable. If you do bring your own, please take your rubbish home with you.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for BunkFest?
The festival is free. However, we do ask you to make donations in the buckets and purchase your drinks and food from the festival to help pay for the event.

What if I need to change my shift time and day?
If you need to make any changes, please email us ASAP.

How will I know when and what I will be doing?
We will communicate with you by email and text. Your application will be acknowledged immediately, and we will be in touch with you nearer the time (when we have rotas and availability). If your availability changes in the meantime, please email us.

Why do you want to know my t-shirt size?
All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt when they arrive for their shift and are asked to proudly wear it when on duty. To guarantee a tshirt, registrations must in before July 31st 2024.

Why are you asking to be over 18 in the application form?
In order for you to work the bar, bucket collect, and for insurance reasons, we require you to be 18 years old and above.

I have not done anything like this before, will I get help?
No experience is necessary. There will be a briefing before your shift and other volunteers around to help you and answer questions.

How much time do you need me to volunteer?
We appreciate whatever you can do. You can give us an hour or the whole weekend.

What is the price for children?
Under 5s go Free, but still require a ticket. 5-17 years require a Youth ticket.

Is the ticket price per person or per pitch?
The price is per person.

Are dogs allowed on the campsite?
This is a Sports Park and no dogs are allowed due to the health and safety reasons

When can we leave?
You are welcome to leave at any time but please consider your fellow campers. The latest you can leave is midday on the Monday

Is the campsite noisy?
As this is a festival campsite, and alcoholic beverages will have been imbibed, we cannot be responsible for noise within the campsite, although our security services have been instructed to request that noise is minimised. The campsite borders the Wallingford bypass so there is likely be some road traffic noise.

Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can assuming its before the 19th August 2024. Refunds are processed within 7 days.

How far is the Kinecroft and town centre?
5-10 minutes in the BunkFest Bus or a 15 minute walk.

Can we bring a BBQ?
Unfortunately not.

Can we arrive on the day and book?
Yes, however the ticket prices will be more from the 4th August 2023 and we may be fully booked! so we strongly advise you to take advantage of the website booking service.

Can we bring a generator?
We have no problem with using a small quiet generator, we would ask you to be considerate to others and switch off by 9-10pm.

Does the campsite have hook up?
Unfortunately not, sorry.

Can we arrive at different times during the day and be camped next to my friends or family?
Yes, please touch base with the campsite reception volunteers upon arrival to make your request. However, we strongly advise that, due to limited spaces, you arrive soon after your friends or family.

What time can we arrive on Thursday? or what is the latest we can arrive?
You can arrive from 2pm onwards on Thursday and no later than 8pm. Please report to the campsite reception marquee. If you are delayed and arrive between 8pm and 10pm you will be directed by security to check-in in the Clubhouse.
