Kinecroft and Bullcroft trader information

2023

Thank you for booking your place at the BunkFest – we hope you have an enjoyable and worthwhile weekend!

On arrival, please report to the trader reception. If the gate is manned, stewards at the gate will be able to guide you. Please note that pitch positions are not finalised until very close to the festival.

Due to the increased numbers of visitors attending BunkFest we have revised the layout to manage the crowd around the stage more safely. We have endeavoured to keep the relative positions the same but there are a number of key changes.

Please note that we must limit the number of vehicles that have access to the Kinecroft. If you need to have your vehicle on the Kinecroft it needs to be parked within your booked area.

This year we do not have the space to park vehicles at the south end of the Kinecroft and instead we have arranged some private parking a few yards past the Cross Keys pub in St Georges Road. The access to this parking is 8ft (2.4m) high. There will be a steward on duty at certain times to try and stop the public using it and it will be locked overnight and the times will be posted on a board by the entrance.

Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions to this.

Site Setup

The Kinecroft site will be accessible for setting up on:

Thursday 31st August 08:30 – 22:00

Friday 1st September 08:30 – 12.00

THE SITE MUST BE CLEAR BY 16:00 ON MONDAY 5th September.

Health & Safety

The emergency number for stall holders is 07955 240064. This number is manned 24 hours a day and goes straight to the duty site manager. Please do not use it for general enquiries as someone else may have a genuine emergency!

Each trader must be able to provide the following while on site.

Risk assessment document

Fire extinguisher

Insurance Certificate

These will be checked by our on-site H&S team, please ensure you cooperate with their requests.

All electrical appliances and cables must be tested and carry an up-to-date PAT test sticker.

Stalls need to be positioned within the lines marked on the site. Due to increasing health and safety considerations for this year’s festival the following rules will apply.

  1. Please note the depth of all stalls is 12m. All stalls must be behind the front line and inside of the fence at the back. This includes any stock, displays, vehicles, caravans, tents, marquees etc. Please ensure that the fire breaks are not obstructed. Please do not go past the line in the front as it is not fair to the traders either side of you. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  2. The gap at the back of the East stands and the fence is a fire break and must be kept clear at all times
  3. The access road on the West side is for emergency vehicles only and must be kept clear at all times. There is NO parking on the west side of the site to either side of the emergency vehicle access road. Any vehicle parked here will be removed.
  4. All vehicles must report to the site office on arrival where a vehicle pass will be issued. Only ONE vehicle per trader can access the site. Vehicles may only be parked within your stall area.
  5. A strict 5mph speed limit applies over the whole site at all times
  6. For safety reasons, we have to restrict vehicular movements whilst the site is open to the public

Friday 12:00 to midnight

Saturday 10:00 to midnight

Sunday 10:00 to 22:00

If you need to move your vehicle during the festival please contact the Site Office first. This is for emergencies only. There is no vehicle movement permitted until 30 minutes after the final act each night.  Please always follow the instructions of BunkFest Stewards and other Officers.

Please note the following are not permitted on the site at any time.

Open fires including bar-b-q’s, other than those used by food sellers.

Generators. Power is available if booked.

If you are cooking over a naked flame, please ensure that it cannot accidentally ignite other materials.

If you have booked electricity, please note that we try to put the electrical distribution points near to the traders. Each point is equipped with 16Amp sockets. You need to bring sufficient cable to reach the socket (about 15m). We do not have cables on site and are unable to supply cables or extension leads. Cables should be placed in a way that they do not cause a trip hazard. On arrival you will be provided with a tie-on label with your name and trader number, please ensure that this is attached to your cable where you plug it in.

Any electrical equipment with a slightest fault will cause the breaker to operate and cut off power to the whole area. Therefore, please ensure that all equipment is wired to a high standard

Exhibitors will be responsible for the safe wiring installations of their own stands.

Your power draw must not exceed that of a 13amp-socket outlet.

Any trader who causes the RCD to trip on a persistent basis or whose equipment does not carry a valid PAT test sticker/certificate will be disconnected from the supply.

Site engineers will disconnect from the wiring system any equipment and/or wiring deemed unsafe

Each stand must have its own supply and may not share power with another stand

Additional Firefighting equipment will be located at key points around the site. Please familiarise yourself with their locations

Any hazardous substances must be handled in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

Food traders will be inspected by the local authority

LPG bottles must be secured in a way that prevents them falling or being knocked over and all piping must be safe and meet all current standards and legislation

All participants are reminded that they should be aware of their own responsibilities in respect of relevant Health & Safety matters. Please report any areas of concern to the BunkFest site staff

Full H&S Policy and Fire Evacuation Procedures can be viewed at the BunkFest Site Office
