John Thomson
| John Thomson sings contemporary folk songs and plays guitar & cittern in a variety of tunings. John, also known as 'J T' started on piano years ago but gave up because it was too heavy to cart around. Being left handed he then played guitar the wrong way round for a month then decided to join the majority and try to play it properly. Covers of material from Richard Thompson, Steve Tilston and early Nic Jones are much loved by John and a few self penned songs appear as well. His style has been described as passionate and driving. He is appearing at BunkFest 2009 with Bill on harmonica. (Saturday evening Coachmakers Arms) |
